Bill Magee Blues Band

In 1963 (as the story goes), Jimi Hendrix was playing as Jimmy James...Willie (Bill) Magee met, befriended and eventually joined up with Hendrix to form the band Jimmy James and the Flames. In 1967, Hendrix went to England, and Magee took his newly formed band, the Kansas City Playboys on a tour around Europe. The rest is history...The Bill Magee Blues Band will make you feel how the blues is meant to be felt.

Big Rig deluxe is a five piece roots country band from the deepest point in the Southwestern United States, San Diego, California. Tracy Lee Nelson is a Luiseno/Diegueno Native Californian from the La Jolla Indian reservation. He emerged from the San Diego and Los Angeles areas as a musician with a groundbreaking perspective of the blues: a Native American's point of view. Tracy has traveled the country with his hard-hitting perspective of Indian Reservation Life. Tracy's unique voice, original lyrics and blues guitar work comes straight from the heart, bellowing out stories and issues that should have been spoken of long ago. Thirty-two years of musical experience, has given Tracy the Honor of being mentioned in NATIVE PEOPLE MAGAZINE as one of the finest Indian Blues artists. Tracy's variety and playing styles range from the traditional Delta Blues sounds to the basics of Rock-and-Roll, His masterful guitar work, electric and traditional acoustic blues is something that all true blues lovers will enjoy. Today Tracy Lee Nelson has the honor of being the Tribal Chairman of the La Jolla Indian reservation.

Robin Henkel

A San Diego Legend! Robin Henkel always promises a surprise here and there. He wants to shake things up, so expect the unexpected. As a guitar player, Robin can play blues, jazz, funk, country swing, Hawaiian and Latin music. He borrows from each of those styles when he performs and sometimes even surprises himself with the musical direction his songs take. "I like playing music", he says. It just feels good. Henkel's strength is when he picks up that sawed-off pipe fitting and puts it on his baby finger and then lays it on the strings of a resonator or Dobro.He won Best Blues CD at the 2000 San Diego Music Awards

She is a modern-day June Carter with the lyrical sense of Dolly Parton. With strong roots in classic country, bluegrass and classic rock, she falls firmly under the genre of Americana. Sara's inspiration for songwriting comes from fond memories of home and her many travels throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Western and Eastern Europe. Her sound is an earthy fusion of folk, bluegrass, country, and mountain music with surprising flashes of pop and rock. She steadfastly affirms that "it's all Americana." Her singing voice is the tie that binds the varied styles she blends. While she has a healthy respect for the classic genres in their purest forms, she confidently asserts that she does what she wants when it comes to making music. Such an approach can be a risky proposition for some, but her popularity shows that it is the right one for her.

Whatever your choice Three Chord Justice has it on their menu and is ready to serve. Montana singer/songwriter Liz Grace leads TCJ through a mix of country crafted originals and handpicked covers from the likes of Emmylou Harris, Hank Williams, Buck Owens and Patsy Cline. She got an early start singing in bars and honky-tonks, far before legal age, having to wait in alleys during band breaks. The rest of TCJ is made up from some of the finest pickers and grinners from the SoCal country/alt country music scene. Three Chord Justice isn't looking to change the world…they just want to put a little twang in your corner of it.

"Brazilian Zydeco" is one description of the catchy dance music of Northeastern Brazil. In Forró, the dance is close yet free, the predecessor of the Lambada. The music features grooving percussion with tasty accordion, guitars and soaring vocals.

Banda Braza has been bringing San Diego a little closer to Brazil for over 5 years. The present lineup showcases the accordion fireworks of Lou Fanucchi, Percussion by Steve Haney and Chad Farran, as well as the guitar and vocal stylings of Andy Villas-Bôas.
